Thoughts and Prayers

Unfortunately, we sometimes have to deal with sad occasions and a sympathy card is needed. We lost someone very dear to our family last week and this was the card I made to send to comfort my aunt as she goes through this difficult time. This card was almost completely inspired by Joanne Travis with her card here. Her card just really caught my eye and I just added a few layers / embellishments. This card has a "Z fold". The Mellow Moss layer was simply folded like a regular A2 card and then the top half was folded back on itself again. Both of the images on the inside were embossed with clear embossing powder. The tree was stamped in Versamark and the "Praying For You" was stamped in Rose Red Craft ink. The images on the front of the card were colored with Mellow Moss and Rose Red markers before stamping on the Whisper White cardstock. The three brads and the ribbon embellishment came from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware set. I did add some Stardust Stickles glitter / glue to the middle of the flowers on the front to give them a little sparkle. These do take quite some time to dry so make sure you do that step last whenever using Stickles. Learned that the hard way!! LOL! The designer paper on front comes from the (retiring) Sweet Nothings Simply Scrappin' Kit.
