Good morning and happy Sunday to ya! Hope your weekend is going well. As promised, here is the second card in the latest set I have been working on. This one is my favorite, but again, super quick and easy.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Fresh Flowers, Wild Rose (for the envelope)
Ink: Ridinghood Red
Paper: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Ridinghood Red, Bella Rose Designer Paper
Accessories: Scalloped edge punch, Kiwi Kiss grosgrain ribbon, glue dots

Have a wonderful Sunday! Thanks for stopping by.

Here is the first card that I made for the card envelope in yesterday's post. It is pretty straightforward, I think. The stamp set that I used is retired, however, as I don't have the current rose set as of yet. It was pretty quick and easy to make, though in looking at it now on screen, I probably should have added a layer of Whisper White between the layer of Ridinghood Red and the designer paper to brighten it up a little bit.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Wild Rose (retired)
Inks: Ridinghood Red, Kiwi Kiss
Paper: Bella Rose Designer Paper, Ridinghood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Accessories: Ridinghood Red grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals

I will post the other card that I made for this set tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

I was looking through my pile of templates and came across this envelope template. I haven't made this one in a while and so decided to give it a try. This envelope will hold 2-3 cards and matching envelopes comfortably and makes a cute little gift set. I received the actual template I have from my upline, but I have no idea where the original idea came from so I can't give credit where credit is due. For that, I apologize.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: none
Inks: none
Paper: Pretty in Pink 12x12, Bella Rose Designer Paper
Accessories: Ridinghood Red Grosgrain Ribbon

Here is a picture of the set, but I will show the cards individually over the next couple of days. Have a wonderful day. Thanks for looking!

Another project that got worked on this past weekend was this adorable desktop calendar. I saw the idea on Cambria Turnbow's blog last week. You can see her beautiful creation here. The tutorial actually comes from Nancy Morgan here.
My calendar is a bit larger than what the tutorial calls for as I was unable to print the calendar that small. The calendar itself comes from PrintFree.com.
The base of my cardstock that everything was mounted on is 10" x 7-1/4" and for that I used Sahara Sand. I layered Artichoke before pieces of LeJardin Designer Paper (retired). The rest is pretty self-explanatory. Embellishments used were from the Pretties Kit, Designer Brads, Big and Little Felt Flurries, Flower Fusion and ribbon.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Thursday!

This was one of the projects I worked on this weekend, a notecard set of four in a gift bag with envelopes. I am trying to use up of some of my retired paper and so was able to put this older holiday designer paper to good use. I did use jumbo eyelets and the Crop-A-Dile at the top of the bag so that I could slip some Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon through on both sides.

The base of the first card is Certainly Celery with layers of Night of Navy and Vanilla cardstock along with the designer paper. The "for you" sentiment comes from the Fresh Cuts set, which is current. Certainly Celery 5/8" grosgrain ribbon and Celery brads were used to embellish.
The second card has a base of Night of Navy with layers of Certainly Celery. Again, the same sentiment as well as Celery brads were used, along with three stamps from the Baroque Motifs set inked in the same two colors and cut out before adhering with dimensionals.
The third card also uses a Night of Navy base with a layer of Certainly Celery and then designer paper. Again, Baroque Motifs stamp set was used and the images were cut out. I did place a rhinestone brad in the center as well as used the Celery grosgrain ribbon and brads again.
The final card has a base of Certainly Celery with layers of Night of Navy and designer paper to match the bag. I used the scalloped edge punch of a 2-5/8" square under the stamped images from Baroque Motifs. Another rhinestone brad was used as well as the Celery grosgrain ribbon again.
This set was very simple to make and very striking in person. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and look! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Good Saturday morning to ya! This card was so fun to make - probably because the colors appeal to me. I love working with bright colors. Most of this card was case'd from Jodi Collins. Her card used what appears to be a Basic Gray base and a few more layers in the middle along with the scalloped edge punch. I thought I had her blog saved, but when I went to link it, it was someone else's and I was unable to find the card again. Sorry about that! This would make an adorable birthday card, baby card or congratulatory card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Pun Fun
Card Stock: Whisper While, Certainly Celery, Pacific Point
Ink: Pacific Point, Bordering Blue, Black Stazon
Accessories: Pacific Point grosgrain ribbon, 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" circle punches, Word Window punch, Brads, dimensionals, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, Big Shot

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

A Snowman Pin

I made the most adorable pin. I was wanting to make a poinsettia pin that I saw a tutorial for on SCS, but I don't seem to have a poinsettia stamp. However, I came across Amy Celona's blog and she made the cutest pin using the line of snowmen from Holiday Lineup. You can find her pin here. Hers is so much cuter because the detail is so clear. I worked and worked and struggled (and made my kids work on it too...) but just am not doing something right to get good lighting and details of the picture to show up well.Anyway, this is my pin above. It is a little time consuming to make as there is a lot of cutting. There are four layers of the line of snowmen and then an additional four layers of the middle snowman on top of that. All of the hats, scarves, mittens and noses are stamped and cut out as well. The layers were put together with Mod Podge and after all was said and done, Crystal Effects was added to the top, back and sides to make it glossy. A pin clasp was added to the back with Crystal Effects as well. The images were stamped in Black Stazon. It is really cute in person....wish you could see it! My mom is a camera person....we call her "Phil Photo", so while I am visiting her I am going to have her play with my camera and tell me what I am doing wrong.

Holiday Gift Box

Above are the projects we made at our stamping class last night. A gift box and four coordinating Christmas cards, all made using the Holiday Treasures Designer Series paper packet along with Old Olive, Ridinghood Red, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip cardstock and inks.

The snowflakes are from the Snow Swirled set and the sentiments are from the Level I Hostess set Punches Three, Heard From the Heart, as well as, again, Snow Swirled.

Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain, Ridinghood Red taffeta and Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbons were used along with gold and red brads. We used the square scalloped punch, the circle scalloped punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, 1-1/4" circle punch and the photo corners punch. The box dimensions I believe originally came from Dawn Griffith. You can find her website here.

Thanks for stopping by and looking. I would love your comments and constructive criticism. Any ideas for future posts and / or what you would like to see on this blog are welcome as well. Thanks for your support. Have a wonderful day!

Isn't this card simple, yet elegant? I saw a version of this card here on Melissa Kaufman's blog and thought it was so beautiful. It just begged to be CASE'd! The base of the card is Shimmery White and the ink used is Sahara Sand. Once again, I used the Snow Swirled set as that is the only set I have with a snowflake. I adhered half-pearls to two of the snowflakes with mini glue dots. So simple and elegant! I know the picture quality is awful, I just can't get the hang of that yet. Thanks for looking. Have a great day!

Another cupcake card.... I did use a layout that I saw on someone's blog, but I can't remember whose at the time of this posting. Sorry about that! The stamp image is also from the Crazy for Cupcakes set, but this time I colored in the image with markers. The base of the card is Kiwi Kiss with the balloon image from this same set stamped here and there so it didn't look quite so plain. The other layers of cardstock are Pale Plum, Barely Banana, Whisper White, and a retired SU! designer paper that seemed to call to me. I again used non-SU! lavender brads as the space in that corner seemed a little bare. I used striped grosgrain Kiwi Kiss ribbon. The inside of this card was decorated as well.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Friday, November 7, 2008

Happy Friday everyone! I got some new stamps in last week so I figured I would take a break from the Christmas cards. This card uses the Crazy for Cupcakes set. It was one of the stamp sets on sale during Stampin' Up!'s birthday promotion. The base of the card is Bashful Blue with layers of Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White along with Washington Apple Designer Series paper. The sentiment was cut out with the oval punch and layered on Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie oval punches as well, adhered with a dimensional. Vanilla 5/8" grosgrain ribbon runs across the middle of the card and three light blue brads (non-SU!) were placed in the upper righthand corner. I colored the cupcake image with the blender pen and Barely Banana, Bashful Blue, Ridinghood Red and Pumpkin Pie inks. I did decorate the inside of the card as well, shown in the second picture. Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Yet Another Snow Swirled

This morning we have yet another Snow Swirled card. I just love this set! In addition to this set, the Jumbo Snow Wheel was used, rolled in Pacific Point ink across a piece of Whisper White. The base of the card is Baja Breeze followed by layers of Pacific Point and Whisper White. The ribbon is Baja Breeze striped grosgrain. I stamped one snowflake in Baja Breeze and cut it out, adhering it to the card with a dimensional to make it "pop". The greeting is also attached with dimensionals. The top and bottom of the card seemed a little bare so I pierced two rows on the bottom and one row on the top. I am not really sure I care for the way that part of the card came out, but what is done is done, so..... Hope you enjoyed this card.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
