Good Morning! I have been studying so hard this weekend and every now and then I have taken a break to clear my head and relax with some sneaky stamping. I say "sneaky" because my husband hasn't caught me. LOL! He has generously been keeping the kids out from under foot so that I could get some serious studying done. I really appreciate that! However, I occasionally go into overload and need a break. On the upside, I have a full week of blog posts for you!

The inspiration for this card came from Vicki from It's A Stamp Thing. I did change some things around to make it mine, though.

Supplies~
Stamps: Kind and Caring Thoughts, Vintage Vogue
Ink: Night of Navy, Real Red, Mellow Moss
Cardstock: Kraft, Real Red, Whisper White, DSP Hostess Pack III
Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Oval Frame die, paper piercer, Scallop Edge punch, Vintage brads

Have you taken advantage of Sale-A-Bration yet? Remember...for every $50 in product you purchase (before tax and shipping) you will receive a FREE stamp set, DSP packet or punch from the SAB catalog! SAB time is my favorite SU time of year and always so much fun! Contact me with your order today or simply click on the link below and order anytime!

Diva Challenge #162

The Divas have a color challenge this week...
I woke up this morning thinking...okay, I have the day off of work today. This is great! I can get caught up on my challenges and devote a decent amount of time to my A&P class. The sun is out. It is going to be a great day!

NOT!! The next thing I knew, my daughter came in to wake me up and announced that it was 9:41. I opened my eyes, trying to figure out what today was. It then dawned on me that it was already Wednesday and I hadn't done my Diva challenge yet! Run to the office!!
Well, I always seem to be a day late and a dollar short! Story of my life! At least I got my card done. I am now going to try to salvage the rest of the day and see if it will go as planned. Wish me luck!

By the way...with each purchase of this stamp set that I used (I {Heart} Hearts), Stampin' Up! will make a donation to the Haiti Disaster Relief Fund! I work for a great company!

Supplies~
Stamps: I {Heart} Hearts
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal, Regal Rose
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal, Old Olive, Vanilla
Accessories: Regal Rose 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Pinking Hearts border punch, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by. Grab some coffee and head on over to the Diva blog and see what the rest of the design team has come up with for your inspiration. Play along with us. It is fun! Have a good day!

Vintage Vogue

How about a little Vintage Vogue? Our challenge this week over at Late Night Stampers' Group is to create something vintage.
Using current Stampin Up products show us your version of a "vintage" project. Are you distressing paper, using old photo's, or new photo's made to look old? Vintage colors? How about the new Vintage inspired stamp Set? You are only limited by your imagination!
Our only requirement for this challenge (and all of our challenges) is to make sure we use 100% current Stampin' Up! product. Not a problem for me - as you well know! - as Stampin' Up! is pretty much ALL I use!

Supplies~
Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Well Scripted
Ink: Dusty Durango, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Vanilla
Accessories: Dusty Durango polkadotted grosgrain ribbon, Kraft cordoroy brads, 5/16" Neutrals Assortment of brads, Scallop Eyelet Border punch

I am really enjoying the clear mount stamps. They sure don't take up nearly the amount of space as the wood mounted stamp sets do! Have a wonderful day and don't forget it is Sale-A-Bration time. For every $50 in product purchased (before tax and shipping) you will receive a FREE stamp set, border punch or designer paper from the Sale-A-Bration catalog! Contact me today if you need a copy at stampinsteph72858@gmail.com.

Using the same color scheme and stamp sets as yesterday, here is another "loving" card. This card was inspired by another that I saw by Tiffany Bauer, but I changed the color scheme. I also used a new pinking hearts border punch, but I should have layered it as it is hard to see. This new punch - along with several other new ones - can be found in the new Mini Occasions catalog. Check them out!

Supplies~
Stamps: Well Scripted, I {Heart} Hearts
Ink: Ruby Red, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Ruby Red, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Ruby Red DSP
Accessories: Soft Suede grosgrain ribbon, Small Heart punch, Pinking Hearts border punch, dimensionals

Clearly, you can see....

We have clear blocks! You will have the option of purchasing Stampin' Up!'s new stamp sets to mount on wood blocks or the clear acrylic blocks now. The first three sets that I have purchased from the Mini Occasions catalog have been clear mounted! I am loving them and am so glad SU is doing this! This set, I {Heart} Hearts is from the Mini Occasions catalog and is adorable. Some of my hearts are stamped directly onto the cardstock and some are stamped and then cut out or punched out, adhered with dimensionals.

Supplies~
Stamps: I {Heart} Hearts, Well Scripted
Ink: Ruby Red, Night of Navy, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Whisper White, Soft Suede, Ruby Red
Accessories: Soft Suede grosgrain ribbon, ticket corner punch

You really need to grab your Occasions Mini and take a close look at Stampin' Up!'s clear acrylic blocks! They are amazing! Need a mini? Contact me today!

Love butterflies? I do. In the Occasions Mini catalog, there is an embosslit which, when run through the Big Shot, makes the most adorable little butterflies. Need a mini catalog to check it out or a Sale-A-Bration catalog? Just send me a quick email and I will stick one in the mail for you. My email address is stampinsteph72858@gmail.com.
Supplies~
Stamps: None
Ink: Melon Mambo (for sponging only)
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Raspberry Lemonade DSP
Accessories: Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, scallop edge punch, circles 2 Bigz die, circle cutter, white gel pen

My sketch came from one of the recent mojo sketches by Julee Tillman, but my color inspiration came from Late Night Stampers Group where we have a picture of a decorative cake for our challenge inspiration this week. The colors jumped out at me so that is what I went with.

Don't forget it is Sale-A-Bration time! For every $50 in product you purchase you get a stamp set FREE!!

Show Me the Love!

The challenge this week at Late Night Stampers Group is to create Valentine theme related projects. This is my first submission for that challenge. I used the sketch layout from last week's DIVA challenge. The love image is embossed in black craft ink with clear embossing powder so that when I colored it with the blender pen and ink, it didn't bleed.

Supplies~
Stamps: Love You Much
Ink: Black Craft, Basic Black, Real Red, Old Olive
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red
Accessories: Red striped grosgrain ribbon, White brads, Heart to Heart punch, clear embossing powder, heat tool, blender pen, Ticket Corner punch

Have you had a chance to peruse the new Occasions Mini catalog and the SAB catalog? So much fun stuff! I received a few new things by UPS this morning and I can't wait to play! Click here to see the catalogs and place your order today!

Good morning and Happy Friday to ya! We have a simpler card today with some coloring. My images were stamped in Jet Black StazOn and then colored in with the blender pen and ink pads. I stamped a few extra as well and cut them out after coloring, adhering with a dimensional here and there. I use the StazOn when coloring so that it does not run.
Supplies~
Stamps: Flower Fancy, Kind and Caring Thoughts
Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Old Olive, Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Cottage Wall DSP (So Pretty!)
Accessories: Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, blender pen, Rich Razzleberry polka dotted grosgrain ribbon

Have you had a chance to peruse the new Mini Occasions catalog or Sale-A-Bration catalog? What are you waiting for!?! I have some new goodies set to arrive on Monday and I can't wait to get my hands on them! Have a wonderful day!

Creative Ribbon

Our challenge this week over at Late Night Stampers Group is to show some creative uses for ribbon. I use a lot of ribbon on my cards. They just seem to look naked without some ribbon dressing it up. As for "creativity", though, that is another story and definitely out of my comfort zone. But, I gave it a whirl. My original intention was to create a scrapbook page with a few more flowers on it, but time just got away from me - as usual - and so I ended up with just a card.
Supplies~
Stamps: Heard from the Heart
Ink: Old Olive
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Crushed Curry polka dotted grosgrain ribbon, Filigree brads, rhinestone brads, paper piercer

The petals of the flower are made of six separate pieces of ribbon, simply folded and adhered together with sticky tape. The stem and leaves are more obvious, made of three pieces of the Old Olive ribbon.

I would love to see what creative things you can come up with using ribbon!

DIVA Challenge #159

Well this is our first Diva Coffee Break Designs challenge of 2010! It feels good to be creating again after such a long break. So, I will save that one for Monday and show you what I came up with next! Now I sort of feel ahead of the game! :)
This card also fell into the brad challenge theme from last week too, so it was hard to keep it under wraps! But, I am trying to pace myself.

Stamps: Great Friend
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, So Saffron
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, So Saffron
Accessories: Boho Blossoms punch, Brads

Isn't this card so beautiful and elegant? I cased this from Tiffany Bauer. It was just too pretty to pass up! LOL! The only downfall is that it would need a special envelope to mail since it is so bulky. However, it would look gorgeous on top of a gift.

Happy New Year!

A new year, a new beginning! Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday! I am going to start fresh with some new goals for my stamping business. One of those goals is to make the time to stamp more and try to post as much as possible. I did make the time to stamp yesterday, but with my husband home I didn't take the time to post it. But, that is okay, it is being posted today! :) My picture isn't that great since it was taken at night, though.

Over at Late Night Stampers Group, our challenge this week is to create using brads. All of the brads on this card are from the Pretties Kit. Where did this ribbon come from, you might ask...? It actually is the polka dotted Rich Razzleberry grosgrain, just flipped over to the solid side as the polka dots didn't seem to fit with the card. I haven't actually stamped in so long, it took me a long time to make this card. It is always hard for me to get back in the groove.

Supplies~
Stamps: Kind and Caring Thoughts
Ink: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Vanilla
Accessories: Pretties Kit, polka dotted Rich Razzleberry grosgrain ribbon

Don't forget~ Only another day and a half left to order from the Holiday Mini Catalog. A brand new mini starts on January 5th along with Sale-A-Bration!! So many cool new products you won't want to miss! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
