Cute party favor!

Isn't this little party favor adorable? My kids make fun of me because I like tiny, cute things. For those of you just getting to know me, you will soon come to find that I LOVE my Big Shot and the dies that Stampin' Up! sells to go with it! This too was made with the Big Shot and the Bag with Scallops die (item #114519, $34.95 US). It is a tiny, little thing - measuring just 4" tall, but the perfect size to add some candies for a birthday party or shower favor or even a small gift for a class gift during the holidays. The Big Shot cuts three different pieces to the bag and it goes together quite easy!

Supplies:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes (balloon), Tenny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Jet Black Stazon
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pik, Whisper White, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Accessories: Big Shot, Bag with Scallops die, scallop circle punch, Modern Label punch, SU! chalks, dimensionals, non-SU! brads

Anything BUT an A2

Happy Saturday Stampers! Our design team challenge this week over at Late Night Stampers Group is to make a card that is any size OTHER than a standard A2 sized card. For those of you who don't know, a standard A2 card measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/4". Pretty much all of my cards are made this size. But, I stepped out of my comfort zone and created a square card measuring 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" using the Baroque Motifs stamp set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Baroque Motifs
Ink: Barely Banana
Cardstock: Taken with Teal, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Vintage brad (black), photo corners punch, scallop edge punch, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

By the way~ please leave me a comment and let me know what you think of new look of my blog!

CASing Chat

This card is heavily inspired by Chat from memystampsandi.blogspot.com. It is hard to see with the lighting in this picture, but I used one of the images from Kind and Caring Thoughts, which is a Level 3 Hostess Set, and stamped it in Bashful Blue on Bashful Blue cardstock. The designer paper is also from the Bashful Blue collection. On the main image, some of the flower pieces are stamped a second time and cut out and placed on top of the first image with dimensionals.

Supplies:
Stamps: Kind and Caring Thoughts
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Real Red, Whisper White, Bashful Blue DSP
Accessories: Real Red 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, paper piercer

Hope you enjoyed this card! You can order these products online 24/7!

Did you miss me?

I am finally back into the swing of things (sort of) after traveling out of state to be with family for the last two weeks. My husband and oldest daughter came on this trip as well so I was not able to do my own thing at my own pace like I usually can when I visit family. Anyhoo... I am trying to get my stamping and blogging back in gear as I missed two weeks worth of challenges. The Diva Coffee Break Designs challenge this week is a color challenge. I love these colors, but it was a little challenging to put them all together! But, I guess that is the point of a "challenge", right? Actually, once I got going, it wasn't too bad.
For the layout, I used mojomonday sketch 94. I am not sure how long ago this sketch layout was released, but am guessing two weeks. You can see all of Julee's Mojo sketches at www.mojomonday.blogspot.com. I am pleased with the way this card came out. I did have trouble fitting the Tempting Turquoise in. The circle rhinestone brad is the only turquoise on this card. Both pieces of DSP are from the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP pack.

Supplies:
Stamps: Great Friend
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Old Olive, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Crushed Curry (sponging of the edges)
Accessories: Basic Black 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, circle rhinestone brad, Crushed Curry ribbon

Hop on over to the Diva Coffee Break Designs blog and see what the other design team members have created for your inspiration. While you are at it, why don't you create something for this color challenge yourself and upload it to the blog using Mr. Linky. We would love to have you play along with us!

As promised, here is another card showcasing the same Late Night Stampers Group sketch for challenge #25 this week.
This was such a fun sketch to work with and, as I have said before, having a good sketch to work with makes the card creation go so much smoother ~ for me anyway. The designer paper used in this card is Sweet Slumber. It is textured cardstock and is so pretty. I hate that it is retiring! I am going to miss it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Nursery Necessities
Ink: Baja Breeze, Ridinghood Red, So Saffron
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Ridinghood Red, Vanilla, Sweet Slumber textured DSP
Accessories: Word Window punch

Order online 24/7! Thanks for stopping by!

In my last post, I showed a sketch challenge that we are working with this week on Late Night Stampers Group. I have made two more cards with this sketch. Here is one... I didn't even use any stamps! This was made completely with cardstock and DSP.

Supplies:
Stamps: None
Ink: None
Cardstock: So Saffron, Ridinghood Red, Washington Apple DSP

I will be back tomorrow with another card utilizing this same layout.

Order online 24/7! Get your retiring stamp sets before it is too late!

Another B-Day Card

A quick post to show another handmade birthday card that I received. This from my good friend, Tena. (Hi Tena!) The lighting in this picture just doesn't do the card justice, so for that I apologize.
Have you placed your order of retiring stamp sets and accessories? If not, contact me today to get your order in at stampinsteph72858@gmail.com. Or, you can place your order online 24/7 here.

Thanks for looking!

It is Wednesday again! Boy, the weeks go fast! The Divas had a sketch challenge this week to play with. Looks pretty simple, right? Not! It is my own fault, though. I didn't get a chance to work on this challenge early and so it was last minute. As a result, I am not really happy with my color scheme. I guess I pictured it a lot different in my mind than how it came out. That will teach me. But, for the sake of time and all, I am posting it and will try to work on another card using this sketch this afternoon.
Supplies:
Stamps: Friends 24/7
Ink: Jet Black Stazon, Cameo Coral marker, Old Olive marker, Rose Red marker
Cardstock: Old Olive, Cameo coral, Rose Red, Whisper White, Raspberry Tart DSP
Accessories: 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" square punches, dimensionals

Why don't YOU play along with us? Each week the Diva Coffee Break Design Team has another challenge to play with. Some are sketches, some are color challenges, and some are using the Big Shot. All of the challenges can be found on the Diva Coffee Break Designs blog each Wednesday. After you complete the challenge, you simply upload your creation to the blog using Mr. Linky. It is easy and it is fun! Sometimes there is even blog candy! You can access links to the other design team members' creations from the Diva blog as well. Give it a try!

Late Night Stampers have a sketch challenge too!

The Late Night Stampers Group Design Team challenge this week is a sketch challenge. This sketch was created by Mary Jo Albright, a very talented fellow design team member.
It is hard to see, but the little stars and swirls that are around the rocket in the main image are also stamped in Summer Sun on the Summer Sun layer so it didn't look quite as plain. The "friend to friend" sentiment came from Pocket Silhouettes stamp set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Pun Fun, Pocket Silhouettes
Ink: Jet Black Stazon
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Summer Sun, Whisper White
Accessories: Star brads, Paper Piercer, Tangerine Tango grosgrain ribbon, watercolor pencils, blender pen

Have you checked out the Late Night Stampers Group yet? You don't have to be a demo to join this group of very talented Stampin' Up! stampers. Lots of samples, ideas, general encouragement and prizes are shared on this site. Take a look!

Still in my effort to get caught up, I needed another graduation card. While blog surfing a few days ago, I came across this adorable card by Barb Mullikin and just about completely CASE'd it. The sentiment is from the retired SAB set Congrats. It was very quick and easy. The Old Olive layer was made using the Scallop Edge punch on a 2-3/4" square piece of cardstock.

Supplies:
Stamps: So Swirly Jumbo Wheel, Pocket Silhouettes, Congrats (retired)
Ink: Rose Red, White Craft ink
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Whisper White, Rose Red
Accessories: Rose Red grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Square Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals
