Here is my take on the Mojo Monday sketch by Julee..... Not my favorite, but it is what came to mind at the time. Sorry it took so long to post. Life just gets in the way sometimes ~ especially when your husband is home for a few days! LOL! The colors are Really Rust, Basic Black and Vanilla card stock, Really Rust ink. The Stems and Silhouettes Jumbo Wheel was used as well as one of the sentiments from Fresh Cuts ~ a new set in the Fall Catalog, which comes out August 11th! The new catalogs are on preorder. I obviously need to work on my photography skills (or lack thereof - LOL!). I never can quite get the correct lighting, or angle for that matter! It is on my list..... But you get the general idea of the card. The original layout came from Sandy Hoefakker and I tweaked it a little with paper and embellishments. We actually made this card at one of my stamp-a-stacks last month. Again, it is much prettier in person.

Good Morning! Now that I am back home and getting back into the swing of things, I am going to try to post a lot more samples in the hopes of inspiring someone's creativity out there. As stated before, a lot of my card designs have been CASE'D (copied and share everything) and maybe tweeked a little bit, but lately I have come up with a lot of my own designs too. I will post a weekly card sketch based on the one issued by SCS as well. I would love your feedback, questions, comments, etc.

Today, I am posting a card design that I CASE'D and tweeked, but I apparently did not record the original designer as I usually try to do. I apologize for that and if you are or know the designer, please let me know so that I can give credit.

This card was super easy and quick as there just wasn't a lot involved. You will find that most of my cards are pretty generic so that I can utilize it for whatever specific occasion that arises by just going back and adding my greeting or sentiment as needed.

How about a challenge...?

Every Wednesday a card sketch challenge is issued on SCS and today the above sketch was released. This was the first time I have ever participated in one of these challenges. It was actually quite fun to follow the layout. Give it a try and see what you come up with. Then, just send me a comment with a link to your blog post of your creation or email me a picture of your card and I will post it for you.

I got to stamp a little bit today and help my mom make some cards for a friend of hers. This card uses the Priceless set. You can't really tell by the picture, but the Basic Black piece of card stock was run through the Cuttlebug using the DiVine Swirl embossing folder. The layer under the black is a piece of designer paper from Afternoon Tea. The two flowers in the middle were cut out, attached together with an eyelet, and mounted with a dimensional. Good morning everyone! I am sure you all thought I fell off the face of the earth... I am still in NJ, but just for a few more days. I have a couple of new customers who placed an order with me before I left which my daughter was supposed to deliver for me. However, she has had some vehicle issues (another story altogether) and I didn't bring the new e-mail addresses or phone numbers with me to contact you to see if you wanted to pick them up. I am so sorry! I should be home early next week and will get them to you right away.

While here, though, I have made a present for my mom. She has always been wonderfully supportive of me and likes to receive little things for no reason. I can't take credit, as usual, for the original idea. I saw this idea Splitcoast under the member gallery of thymebida and knew that she would love it (hope so anyway!). The original called for Cranberry Crisp and True Thyme inks (last year's In-Colors from SU), but I didn't have those with me here in NJ. I hate that this set is retiring. I think it is so pretty!
